Installing the app
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for "Free VPN Gratis" or follow the link from this website.
- Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
- Open the app once installed.
Connecting for the first time
- Launch Free VPN Gratis.
- The first time you connect, iOS will ask you to allow Free VPN Gratis to add a VPN configuration. Tap Allow and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode.
- Pick a server location, or tap the connect button to use the recommended server.
- When the status indicator turns green, your traffic is being routed through the secure tunnel.
Troubleshooting
The VPN won't connect
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad has an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or cellular).
- Try a different server location from the list.
- In iOS Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, remove any old Free VPN Gratis configuration, then reopen the app and reconnect.
- Restart the Free VPN Gratis app.
- If the issue persists, restart your device.
The connection drops or feels slow
- Switch to a server geographically closer to you.
- Move closer to your Wi-Fi access point or test with a different network.
- Disable battery saver / Low Power Mode, which can throttle background networking.
- Update Free VPN Gratis and iOS to the latest available versions.
An error message appears

- The exact wording of the error message (a screenshot is great).
- Your device model (e.g., iPhone 15 Pro) and iOS version.
- The Free VPN Gratis app version (visible in the app's settings screen).
- Approximate time the issue happened, so we can correlate with diagnostics.
Subscriptions & Billing
How to view or cancel a subscription
- Open the iOS Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Free VPN Gratis.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds
All purchases — including subscription renewals — are processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple. You can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. VPN Gratis Limited cannot issue refunds directly for App Store purchases.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or switch to a new device, sign in with the same Apple ID you used at purchase, open Free VPN Gratis, and tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen.
